How do I make a product photo with AI?
Take a clear photo of the product in daylight, open Product Photo in the Image Utilities part of the PixeLift web app and upload it. The AI places the product in a styled advertising scene with a new background and soft depth of field. Check that the product still looks like the real one before you use the image.
- Sign in to PixeLift and open Image Utilities in the dashboard.
- Choose Product Photo and upload a photo of your product.
- Select Generate Product Photo, compare the result with the Before / After button, then save or share it.
How should I photograph the product?
- Shoot in daylight near a window rather than with the flash.
- Keep the whole product in the frame, on a plain surface.
- Hold the camera straight on to the side you want buyers to see.
Will the AI change my product?
It can. The AI builds a new scene around your product and can change details as it does: a label, a logo, a color, the number of items. Buyers have to receive what the photo shows, so compare the result with the real product before you use it.
Other tools for product photos
- Background Remover, for a transparent or plain-color background instead of a styled scene.
- Relight, for flat or dark lighting.
- Edit, for small changes such as "make the background white".
More questions
Can I use these images in my online shop?
Yes, you can use your results commercially, as long as you have the right to use the photo you uploaded and the image shows the product honestly. Marketplaces have their own image rules; Amazon, for example, asks for a plain white background on the main product image.

Do I have to say the photo was made with AI?
It depends on where you sell. Some marketplaces ask sellers to say when AI was used, and some countries have rules for AI images, especially of people. Check your marketplace's current rules.
Can I choose the background?
Product Photo picks a styled scene for you. For a specific background, use Background Remover or type it with Edit.
Can I show the product from another angle?
Move Camera shows the scene from a new viewpoint, but any side of the product the camera didn't see is made up by the AI. For a listing, photograph each side you want to show.
